If you use a Thawte SIte Seal on your Website and you just renewed your Security Certificate, the Site Seal may display as invalid. Every time a Thawte Security Certificate is renewed you will need to take the following steps to update the Site Seal. First you would need to go to,
https://www.thawte.com/ssl-digital-certificates/trusted-site-seal/index.html. You will need to click the link on the left, "Get your Thawte Trusted Site Seal", you should get this link,
https://www.thawte.com/cgi/server/authentic.exe.
Once you are at the second link you should see a page that requests the certificate number, the next page will require the password for the certificate. Make sure the password is correct, the password is usually the FTP password for your Website, but it can be different. Once you are logged in there should be a page that shows the "current siteseal locations for" and "add another siteseal location". If you know the pages or directories that need the Site Seal you can enter them in the second box that should appear. If there is some uncertainty just leave the default page the way it is and click the "Done" tab. Doing this will set the Site Seal to work for any file or directory in the root folder. Either way you will need to click the "Done" tab when finished, so the Thawte server will update its information. Once this is done the Site Seal should work within an hour or so.
