Create a new account in Outlook Express by choosing Tools -> Accounts from the application's menu.

Step One

OE IMAP step 1

From within the "Internet Accounts" window select Add -> Mail...

Step Two

OE IMAP step 2

In the above image, the "Display name:" field defines the text that people will see in the From: field when they receive email from you. Enter whatever you feel is appropriate.

Step Three

OE IMAP step 3

Enter your email address in the screen shown above. Replace example.com with your actual domain name.

Step Four

OE IMAP step 4

In this next step select IMAP in the pulldown menu. For the Incoming Mail server name, enter "imap." followed by your actual domain name. If you do not use our SMTP Remote Relay service, fill in the "Outgoing mail (SMTP) server:" field with the information provided by your ISP. Click the "Next" button when ready.

Step Five

OE IMAP step 5

The "Account name:" field should contain your complete email address, again replacing example.com with your actual domain name. The password is whatever was assigned at the time the email account was created on our mail servers. We do not have this information; it must be obtained by the person in your organization who created your email account. Do not check the box for "Log on using Secure Password Authentication (SPA)". Click "Next" when ready.

Step Six

OE IMAP step 6

Click "Finish" on this next screen.

Step Seven

OE IMAP step 7

Open the properties for the newly created IMAP account. Select the "IMAP" tab. To increase compatibility with other email clients, as well as the webmail interface, configure the fields as shown in the screenshot above.

The email account has now been created in Outlook Express.
