Configure a Personality by selecting Tools -> Options -> Getting Started from the application's menu.

Step One

Eudora POP3 step 1

In this first window fill in the required information, replacing any existence of "example.com" with your actual domain name. If you do not use our SMTP Remote Relay service, fill in the "SMTP Server (Outgoing):" field with the information provided by your ISP. When ready, click on the "Checking Mail" icon in the left hand menu of the "Options" window.

Step Two

Eudora POP3 step 2

Fill in the fields as shown in the image above. Again, replace "example.com" with your actual domain name. The "Check for email every _ minute(s)" field should not be set to anything less than 5. Checking more often than this may cause excessive load on the mail server. Doing so could lead to loss of service. Leaving the setting at the defualt of 0 disables automatic checking of email . The user will then have to manually retrieve new messages. Click on the "Incoming Mail" icon in the left hand menu of the "Options" window.

Step Three

Eudora POP3 step 3

On this next screen select the "POP" radio button. The "Leave mail on server" option should not be checked. This is not a standard feature of the POP3 protocol. We will not be responsible for supporting any irregularities that may surface due to enabling this setting. For "Authentication style:" select the "Passwords" radio button.

Eudora offers a very wide array of configuration options. The remaining settings availabe in the program are not necessary for this configuration. Their values are up to the individual user.
